Moulding principles using plastic injection

Plastic injection or injection moulding is a technique used in plastics to shape thermoplastic materials. These materials are in the form of plastic granules that melt under the effect of heat, before hardening as they cool.

In their liquid state, these plastic materials are injected under high pressure into a mould that forms their shape. Once cooled, they become solid and will have obtained the shape of the parts or items required. Through this process, plastic injection enables:

• the creation of detailed and high precision parts, in both their design and their function;
• the limited or mass production of components in accordance with an industrial mode;
• the manufacture of large components (e.g. car body parts).

As a plastics company and expert in plastic injection, PROCESS designs and creates thermoplastic components relating to your business and integrated into your products: medical equipment, car accessories, heating apparatus covers, interior equipment for train carriages, etc.

Thanks to the know-how of our teams and our workshop, our company is able to work from your ideas and produce parts that comply with your specifications (mechanical, design and aesthetic properties, technical requirements, fire or smoke resistance, etc.).

PROCESS has a stock of 21 plastic injection presses distributed over 2 workshops:

• 14 thermoplastic injection presses from 25T to 400T;
• 7 thermoplastic injection presses from 600T to 3200T.

25% of the stock consists of two-shot presses enabling components to be produced using bi-material injection. Our Slovakian site has a stock of 20 presses ranging from 50T to 450T, enabling us to meet the needs of subsidiaries based in Eastern Europe.

Furthermore, PROCESS has one SMC compression press, as well as equipment providing the plastics assembly and finishings of your components.
